Title : Inspiring Responsible Management Education through Business Curricular and Community Engagement
Description : This session looks at Monash Malaysia PRME (Principles of responsible Management) initiatives to explore ways to drive excellence in education and community engagement that align with the ethos of the PRME Principles, the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals and the mission of the School of Business. They include development of a capstone unit “Ethics and Sustainability in a Business Environment” and implementation of the CERTE (Connecting and Equipping Refugees to Tertiary Education) bridge course and SPF (Social Protection Fund) program to empower refugees in Malaysia through multiple stakeholder engagement.
Speaker Bio : Priya Sharma is the recipient of the 2020 Monash Business Dean's award for PRME Education Excellence. She is also the recipient of the Monash Purple Letter for Teaching Excellence for 2020, signifying top scores in student satisfaction for the capstone unit "Ethics and Sustainability in a Business Environment". Priya represented Monash Malaysia at the Global Refugee Forum (GRF) in December 2019 in Geneva, Switzerland, which was the first major opportunity to turn the promises of the Global Compact on Refugees (GCR) into action. Priya is a lecturer at the Department of Business Law & Taxation and the School of Business’s PRME Ambassador at Monash University Malaysia.
